In 1994, J.C. Spearry entered the auto industry as a sales associate at an average Chevy store with 19 sales associates in Texas. As he moved up the ranks during his 5 year tenure, he leaned on his 13 year military experience and created systems and procedures that could be measured to lead the company to success. At the end of his 5 years, there were 52 sales associates on staff that drove this average store to be one of the nations Top 10 Chevy dealerships. He was commissioned to implement his strategies at Toyota University, Nationwide Insurance Agencies, Century 21 franchises and several others. He now brings this experience to small and medium sized business across the U.S. and Canada.
In 2000, J.C. was recruited to Cleveland, Ohio to turn around a struggling Toyota store owned by the largest dealer group in the world (at the time). Leadership and a 32% attrition rate were the underlying challenges. He implemented his leadership philosophies/systems and his recruiting strategies. At the end of his first 18 months, the dealership was ranked #1 in the region for 11 consecutive months. This included sales, service, retail parts and wholesale parts. (Three businesses under one roof.) All silos of the organization worked in unison with a single mission and loved their careers again. Yes. Cliche. But team work makes the dream work. The store dropped to a 9% attrition rate.
In 2004, while still in Cleveland he created a part time Leadership, Sales, Finance, Insurance and Real Estate academy on his day off. He experimented with a Sunday afternoon only, 4-hour boot camp. Within a year, the attendance out grew the facility. The students were turning their careers around so quickly, one student coined the phrase, "Come to this Sunday seminar and you'll make your 180 move fast!" And the name stuck. The following year, J.C. was one of the most sought after trainers, coaches and business strategists in Ohio and Ontario, Canada. He had served over 300 professionals. To date, J.C. has trained, coached and strategized with over 500 professionals and businesses.
J.C. now lives near his homestead in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and is the father of two extraordinary, ambitious children and is bless with the wife and partner of his dreams. Since he continues to reign as the youngest Eagle Scout ever in the state of Ohio, his experiences as a youth still drive him (and his family) to the great outdoors where they enjoy camping, kayaking, hiking and playing guitar around the campfire. His family is bound by the Boy Scout Law: "I promise to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent."
